ABOUT ASPE

Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences (ASPE) is comprised  of curious and committed folks whose goal is to document, study, preserve and present paranormal experiences. By definition, "paranormal" denotes events or phenomena that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Some at ASPE know a little about a lot of paranormal phenomena, some know a lot about a particular paranormal area, and some don't know anything at all about the paranormal. The one thing all at ASPE have in common is a desire to explore and document the phenomena and share what is learned.

For those with similar interests and open minds, ASPE meetings and events offer opportunities to discover and discuss experiences for which they can find no scientific or rational explanation. For those who have personally experienced the paranormal, ASPE offers an opportunity to document the details of their experience for sharing with others.

ASPE is interested in compiling information about experiences involving all facets of the paranormal, from UFOs, yetis, energy vortexes, native American spirits, alien abductions, poltergeists, crop circles, animal mutilations, reincarnation and ghosts to ETS, the Taos Hum and beyond.

Together with others whose intent is to learn and share, ASPE looks forward to exploring the unknown.

SYMPOSIUM SYNOPSIS

2009 PARANORMAL SYMPOSIUM SYNOPSIS

With 16 headline speakers, paranormal practitioners and cultural performers, and nearly 200 registered guests, the September 2009 Paranormal Symposium put Angel Fire on the map as the Paranormal Capital of New Mexico.

Registrants arrived from 15 states and one foreign country to meet and learn from a variety of well-known UFO investigators, crop circle researchers, UFO witnesses, abductees, native American practitioners, psychics and mediums. They were treated to excellent lectures and one-on-one meetings to discuss the paranormal with speakers, as well as opportunities for individual readings and private sessions with practitioners.

Speakers included Dennis Balthaser, Nick Redfern, Guy Malone, Greg Bishop, Dr. Donald Burleson, Dee Gragg, Norio Hayakawa, Niara Terella Isley, Michelle Many and Chuck Wade. Practitioners included Frederick Aragon, The Blooming Bush Women, Cynthia Crawford, Maria Halpin, Naomi Hoshino Horii and Cari Barlow.

A Meet-and-Eat dinner with headline speakers started the event, which also included a film festival showing seven paranormal videos non-stop throughout the weekend, raffles, door prizes and 14 vendors selling a variety of paranormal-related items. Prizes included a ski vacation at Angel Fire Resort and a hand-made wood-carved UFO. In addition, ten lucky folks won breakfast on Sunday morning with their favorite speaker.

Jerry Pippin conducted interviews throughout the symposium, broadcasting live from the event headquarters at the Angel Fire Community Center and also from the Angel Fire Resort hotel. Symposium interviews are available at http://www.ipodshows.net/angel_fire_broadcasts.htm.

Speaker schedules and registration information for the 2010 Paranormal Symposium (September 10-12, 2010) at Angel Fire will be available on this site early next year. Be sure to check back for early-bird registration and lodging discounts.
