ABOUT ASPE

Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences (ASPE) is comprised  of curious and committed folks whose goal is to document, study, preserve and present paranormal experiences. By definition, "paranormal" denotes events or phenomena that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Some at ASPE know a little about a lot of paranormal phenomena, some know a lot about a particular paranormal area, and some don't know anything at all about the paranormal. The one thing all at ASPE have in common is a desire to explore and document the phenomena and share what is learned.

For those with similar interests and open minds, ASPE meetings and events offer opportunities to discover and discuss experiences for which they can find no scientific or rational explanation. For those who have personally experienced the paranormal, ASPE offers an opportunity to document the details of their experience for sharing with others.

ASPE is interested in compiling information about experiences involving all facets of the paranormal, from UFOs, yetis, energy vortexes, native American spirits, alien abductions, poltergeists, crop circles, animal mutilations, reincarnation and ghosts to ETS, the Taos Hum and beyond.

Together with others whose intent is to learn and share, ASPE looks forward to exploring the unknown.

2010 SYMPOSIUM SYNOPSIS

PARANORMAL CONTACT FOCUS OF 2010 SYMPOSIUM AND FILM FESTIVAL

Thirteen outstanding speakers will explore various aspects of paranormal contact at the 2010 Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival in Angel Fire, NM beginning the afternoon of Thursday, September 9 and continuing through Sunday, September 12.

The best of the best are scheduled to present programs at the event, with highly-regarded psychics, healers and other practitioners available througout the four-day weekend for consultations.

Angel Fire Resort hotel is headquarters for the 2010 event, with a paranormal-themed art show and cultural performances throughout the Resort complex, along with vendors offering a wide selection of paranormal-related merchandise. Registration packets will be available beginning at 10 am on Thursday at the ASPE desk in the hotel lobby, with event I.D., dining and shopping coupons, site maps, and other information about Angel Fire included.

The Sir Arthur Film Festival honoring the best films with paranormal themes will launch the afternoon of Thursday, September 9, with an initial screening of entry finalists, followed by a Hollywood-style cocktail party at Laguna Vista Lodge and Saloon. No doubt ghosts who often haunt the Laguna Vista will join filmmakers and guests before they leave for an evening screening session. People’s Choice votes will decide the winners, and the best films will receive Sir Arthur awards at a Saturday evening ceremony.

Jerry Pippin will broadcast live from the hotel, interviewing Symposium speakers, filmmakers, practitioners, celebrity guests and local visitors. In addition, visitors can win a private breakfast with their favorite speaker, and an Angel Fire Resort ski vacation.

Visitors will find exciting family-friendly late summer activities in Angel Fire, including an excellent golf course with an elegant new country club, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and a variety of other outdoor recreational opportunities.

Angel Fire art galleries, an eclectic mix of restaurants and shopping opportunities, close proximity to historic sites and haunted hotels in Eagle Nest and Cimarron, as well as spectacular sightseeing throughout the Enchanted Circle, all make an extended visit at discounted Symposium lodging rates an out-of-this-world vacation opportunity.

Discounted lodging is available at Angel Fire Resort, Laguna Vista Lodge, and Monte Verde RV Park. Lodging information and links are posted on the Symposium lodging page, this website.
